One of the best ways to quickly increase your soil's organic matter is by adding peat moss. However peat moss is quite expensive compared to compost, but it has two main benefits, it does not consumed by biology quickly and it lowers the ph of your soil which can be helpful for those of use with soil that is above 7 ph. I show you how I was able to get potting mix for a very low cost and how I'm using it in my garden beds to help the soil.
